After 14 long years the Sabres are finally making a run for the cup and after one of the most exciting comebacks EVER in game 1 (and a forgettable game 2) the Sabres remembered they could score before the third period and took the series lead last night. Miss us yet? I can only speak for myself but the football withdrawal I’ve been feeling has been severe, and the draft and schedule release countdown is VERY real. But in really exciting news this year the dark days of the football off-season are a little brighter as our Buffalo Sabres have ended their painful 14 year playoff drought and will be competing for the Stanley Cup in just a few weeks!

But before their hopefully historic run begins they are coming to New York and will be taking on the Rangers this Wednesday, April 8th at 7:00pm at Madison Square Garden, a mere stone’s throw from our beloved Pennsylvania 6! The bar has obtained two excellent tickets to the game (Section 106, row 16 to be exact) and will be giving them away to anyone in attendance at the bar at 6:30 Wednesday night! Just show up for a chance to win. And hey, even if you aren’t the lucky ticket recipient you can still feel like a winner with these amazing specials running all game long!

Whew, another Wild Card Weekend victory is in the books! While the first half was a little scary for a bit there, the Bills turned it on in the second half and left little doubt in their 31-7 victory against Denver. But now comes the real test, as Lamar, Derrick, and the Ravens travel to Buffalo for the Divisional Round. I don’t know about you all, but the end of last year’s Divisional against the Chiefs still weighs heavy, as does our regular season beat down in Baltimore, so this will be no cake walk. With that said, to be the best you’ve gotta beat the best and IN JOSH ALLEN WE TRUST! LFG BUFFALO!!

Like we’ve done in years past, as we anticipate huge crowds at Penn 6, to speed up how quickly drinks can make their way to you while you’re cheering on the Bills we’re requiring that everyone purchase a premium wristband at the door for entry. This band is $80 a person and will get you unlimited beer, wine, and house liquor. Oh hey there NYCBBBs!!!

What a regular season, huh? I don’t know about you, but if you had told me not too long ago that we would have two match ups against the Patriots in the last four weeks of the season and they would essentially be meaningless I don’t think I would have believed you. But as we know, this team is special, with our MVP QB1 at the helm and an underappreciated cast of characters on all sides of the ball, it’s time for the playoff push! LFGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

Game one is against the Broncos this Sunday at 1:00pm. We’re certainly not looking past this week, Bo Nix has turned out to be who we thought he was and Denver is feeling good breaking a long playoff streak to sneak into the 7 seed. Bills Mafia will be out in force in Orchard Park to welcome them (did anyone see their fans chanting “we want Buffalo!” at their game last weekend? Be careful what you wish for…), and the crowd is going to be INSANE at Penn 6! We hope to see you there!

What’s up NYCBBB?

Nothing quite like a win at home. It took a minute to get warmed up it seemed as the Titans led into the half, but the 27 unanswered points by the Bills in the second half left little doubt. What a week for Keon Coleman, who broke out and had his first 100 yard game in front of the home town crowd! Buffalo currently leads the AFC East by 2.5 games, and now that Amari Cooper will undoubtably know the plays without any hand holding it’s fixing to be an exciting matchup out west as the Bills head to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. Hopefully it will go a little differently than it did 8 years ago…

Well hello you group of WINNERS!

What. A. Weekend! Between the Mafia Welcome Party on Sunday, the tailgate at MetLife, and our normal Penn 6 watch party New York and New Jersey were overrun with Bills fans. It was an entire vibe, and coupled with the (albeit anxiety provoking) take down of Aaron Rodgers and the Jets it was basically a perfect weekend! Thank you to all who came out to party with us, we hope you had a blast!

We want to specifically thank a few people who made this weekend possible. The team at Penn 6 is UNMATCHED! They hosted our day-long happy hour on Sunday, they facilitated an ENTIRELY FREE tailgate for everyone who came by, complete with burgers, hot dogs, wings, and more alcohol than even we could drink, and the bar was still open for any mafia member not attending the game in person. We love our home, thank you all! Hey ey ey ey NYCBBB!

Well, that sucked. Again. It’s unusual in the Allen Era to check in after the game that followed a loss not celebrating a victory, but unfortunately that’s where we find ourselves this week after a heartbreaking last minute loss to the Texans. Despite having a pretty abysmal first half our Bills fought back in inspiring fashion and almost pulled it out, and while we can certainly have some conversations about the play calling in those final seconds, as well as whether or not Josh should have returned to the game following a terrifying injury in the fourth quarter, there were still some positives to take from this game. James continues to Cook from the back field and we are VERY happy to see Terrel Bernard back. We remain a team that is banged up and looking for our next win, and where better to find it than in our back yard at the Meadowlands against a similarly floundering Jets team that as of this morning no longer has a head coach? This game is turning out to be a very important Divisional game in prime time, so let’s show up in force all weekend long and cheer our team to victory! LETS GO BUFFALO!!!

Sunday Funday Mafia Welcome Party

We hope that you come join us and a bunch of Bills fans who are traveling in for the game this Sunday at Penn 6 (132 W 31st Street) for our Mafia Welcome Party! In true Mafia fashion we have a couple of ways that you can get in on the action. We’ll be gathering beginning at 12:30pm to get in as much watching of the other games as possible, with the bar’s menu and drinks available ala carte. If that’s how you want to party all day you’re welcome to do so, but beginning at 4:00pm in collaboration with Gameday Hospitality, Pennsylvania 6, Skrewball Whiskey, Happy Dad, and Buffalo Food Slut, we will also be offering a three hour all-inclusive happy hour! The happy hour is from 4:00-7:00pm and will include open bar, food, games, giveaways, and a live performance from Dom Brown! Oh hey there NYC Backers!

How’s 3-0 treating you? Personally I let that Victory Tuesday feeling simmer all week long and have been thoroughly enjoying the crow a lot of commentators are eating after watching Josh Allen embarrass the Jags. The beauty of Monday night, though, was that it wasn’t just Josh. It was literally every available member of the offense, either targeted or touching the ball, running up the score. It was an O-line that allowed QB1 hours to throw the ball. It was a defense that shut down anything Jacksonville tried. And how about that full circle moment with the Damar Hamlin INT?! It was just a perfect night, and Penn 6 was an entire vibe. Let’s do it all again!

PUNT FOUNDATION FUNDRAISING

Thank you to everyone at Penn 6 on Monday who kicked off our online fundraising for the PUNT Foundation! In just one night we raised over $1,000, 20% of the way towards our goal!
